Unavailable content

Non-compliance with the annex

  • Some additional functionalities on individual subpages can only be used with a mouse:
    • subpage „List of stations” - selection of the alphabet letter for which stations will be presented,
    • search results - time change bar allowing to search for connections again according to the changed time.
  • PDF files available on the website (timetable posters) may not be fully adapted to WCAG 2.1. (A and AA) principles due to limitations of the file generation program from the system.

Content not covered by regulations

  • Due to the specificity of the presented data, keyboard operation is not possible in two places on the website:
    • in the „Trains on the map” application (maps are exempt from the obligation to ensure accessibility),
    • in the „Route on the map” tab in connection details (maps are exempt from the obligation to ensure accessibility).

Preparation of the Accessibility Declaration

  • Date of declaration preparation:
  • Date of last review of the declaration:

The declaration was prepared based on a self-assessment conducted by the public entity and an external entity examination named Spółdzielnia Socjalna Akces Lab, which issued a website accessibility certificate for the Portal Pasażera v. 3.0 on March 13, 2018. See the certificate. See the certificate in text version.

Facilities, limitations, and other information

The website has been designed to be accessible to the widest group of users, regardless of the technology used or user limitations.
We have made every effort to ensure that the website meets W3C standards in:
  • HTML 5,
  • WCAG 2.1. (A and AA).
At the same time, we inform that the „Buy Ticket” option available on the website redirects the user to external sales websites of carriers, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility for disabled users.

Navigation

Navigation on the website is based on commonly recognized and applied principles.
  • You can navigate the website using a mouse or keyboard. Due to the specificity of the presented data, keyboard operation is not possible in two places on the website:
    • in the „Trains on the map” application,
    • in the „Route on the map” tab in connection details.
  • Some additional functionalities on individual subpages can only be used with a mouse:
    • on the „List of stations” subpage - selection of the alphabet letter for which stations will be presented,
    • in search results - time change bar allowing to search for connections again according to the changed time.
  • The Tab key allows you to navigate through menu items, content, and footer. The user can use „skip links”, and the focus on the page facilitates navigation.
  • The website has organized headers and described page titles.
  • On selected subpages, navigation may change. Please note that each subpage available in the menu and the first three positions in the footer (Network timetable, List of stations, Connection catalogue), are treated by the system as separate applications. Therefore, we have introduced a „Back”, button in the navigation on the website, located on some screens in the upper left corner, which allows you to return to the previous view without losing the content of previously filled forms.
  • We use pop-up windows on the website. However, they are adapted for keyboard operation, and blind users are informed about them in advance.

Appearance

The website is fully responsive and equipped with mechanisms to facilitate content browsing for visually impaired users. On the website, you can:
  • enlarge the view of the page and letters using the key combination: Ctrl and the + sign,
  • reduce the view of the page and letters using the key combination: Ctrl and the - sign,
  • restore the page to its original size using the key combination: Ctrl and the number 0,
  • change the contrast of the page using the button in the upper bar of the website.
We have tried to ensure that all elements of the website have the appropriate contrast.
The website does not contain keyboard shortcuts that could conflict with assistive programs or the user’s system or programs.

Forms

The website has detailed descriptions and field identification on all forms. Some fields have graphic elements to assist in filling them out. Such fields can also be filled using the keyboard:
  • In fields defining the date or time, appearing in various places on the website, the value can be changed by selecting the currently entered text (this happens automatically when the field is activated), and then entering a new value using the keyboard, maintaining the format specified in the field description.
